Howard C. Kimball is an artist known for his abstract style of painting showing reference to surrealism. His painting style is very much his own. At this stage of his life, he used paint in a very thin layer to appear opaque, almost as gouache or watercolor would appear.

This painting represents a period of time when the artist created paintings depicting images of people singularly shown or in groups, all in sepia tones on white background.  Each painting makes an emotional statement that is left to the viewer to interpret rather than being told by the title its meaning.

This painting appears to be a figure, possibly female or gender neutral, protecting an infant or a very young child. It easily could have been called "Protecting What's Precious."

If artwork is damaged in shipping, it must be reported within 48 hours. You must save all packing material for carrier inspection. to get a refund.

A return authorization number will be provided. Include the return authorization number with the artwork and on the shipping container next to the label. You must insure the item for the Full purchase price when returning.

All returns must be in their original condition. We reserve the right to refuse a refund of any kind if the item returned has been altered, damaged, appears to have been used or worn if applicable.

You have 14 days after the item was delivered to get a refund or exchange. No returns will be processed after that date.

Paintings that are being returned in a tube must have the paint facing outward when rolling or the work will be cracked and will not be accepted for return. Artwork damaged because of improper care will not receive a refund.
