Law was born in China, had successful art exhibits there but wanted the artistic freedom found in the USA. In 1983, he immigrated to NY. He began designing wallpaper for a major manufacturer, at the same time having exhibitions of his original artwork. At first, Law's artwork reflected his heavy involvement in textile but by 1984, his paintings showed his true artistic talent and expression.
Law is known for his impressionism however, this painting was done using pointillism which was unique for him. (Pointillism was started in the mid 1800's as a reaction to the impressionistic movement.) No matter what technique he uses, his artwork has always been well received because of his use of color, structure and subject matter.
Law's artwork can be found in many major collections including the Museum of Art in Ghang Zhou and Beijing. His traditional work was exhibited in the Chinese Cultural Institute and his modern work at the Artist's Exhibition at Lincoln Center in NY. His artwork has also been exhibited for a decade at Art Expo.
