    Michaele Vollbracht was known as an illustrator but considered himself a fashion designer. From 1967 to 1975 he worked for Geoffrey Beene, Donald Brooks, Beene & Beene Bazaar Line, Norman Norell, Henri Bendel, Bloomindales. Then he lauched several of his own studios doing fashion illustration and graphic design where he placed them on fabric, ie: silks and made them into fashion that were in great demand. He also created a ready to wear line.

    From 2003 to 2007, he was head fashion designer working under his own name for the fashion house of Bill Blass. He won several awards, the Golden Thimble 1967, the Coty Award in 1980 and the Tommy Award 1984.

    He wrote a successful book called "Nothing Sacred & Cartoons & Comments", 2000
