Robert Livsey Wells is a former Professor of Fine Art at NYU. He is part Native American. He paints images of the reflections of light on the earth, based on the signs, symbols, and religious beliefs of his ancestral past. He takes the colors of nature and transforms them into abstract visions of what he sees as non objective landscapes. His paintings on paper have a luminescent quality.
