    Seymour Chwast was born in 1931. He's an illustrator, painter & sculptor. He's had a profound influence on American graphic design and illustration, known as the Push Pin movement, of which he is the director. He has won the AIGA medal and is a member of the Art Directors Hall of Fame. His illustrations could be found over the years in many issues of Forbes magazine and in the New York Times and in an exhibition in 1970 at the Louvre Museum, Paris. He has also illustrated book covers, packaging, posters and books. He has also written and illustrated over thirty childrens books.

    This screenprint, which was done in 1989 as a caricature of the famous actress Greta Garbo is one of 4  images in the "O" series. The other three are "Picasso" (Pablo Picasso), "Satchmo (Louis Armstrong) and "Groucho" (Groucho Marks).
